Game publisher 505 Games and developer Remedy Entertainment recently announced that video game Control Ultimate Edition is now available on new gen consoles.

To celebrate its launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the developer and publisher released a new launch trailer for the Ultimate Edition. This version will feature improved visuals and gameplay and can be purchased for only $39.99. It can be acquired as well for free via old gen version upgrade.

With the new-gen upgrades, players can choose between Performance Mode, which targets 60fps with 1440p render resolution and 4K output or Graphics mode at 30fps with ray tracing at 1440p render resolution and 4K output. These are most visible on non-transparent reflective surfaces across the game, as well as on transparent materials like glass surfaces.

PS5 players can enjoy immersive haptic feedback from the DualSense controller features. It will also offer new Activities and Help features, which can assist players to guide their gameplay and track progress.

“We are really excited for people to experience Control Ultimate Edition on the new Sony and Microsoft consoles. The next-generation version of the game offers greatly improved load times, improved frame rates, higher resolution, and a wealth of support for platform-specific features. Even the map loads faster! We are especially excited about some of the more immersive gameplay features, which will help you become even more engaged in the role of Director and give a more realistic feel to wielding your transforming Service Weapon,” said Remedy’s Communications Director, Thomas Puha.

Control Ultimate Edition will include the base game, The Foundation and AWE expansion packs and all additional game modes. It can be available to purchase as a digital download too and subscribers to PlayStation Plus can now download the PS5 or PS4 version of the game for free in the US region as part of the PS Plus February monthly games. There will be a physical version of the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S available at retailers in Europe and America on March 2. The game is also available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
