A new rumor claims that the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion will be adding new characters and they are from a popular animation.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a popular anime show on Netflix based on the video game Cyberpunk 2077. The show has a very memorable cast many loved the series when it aired last year. CD Projekt RED introduced content based on the series a while ago, but it was only some items and locations based on the show. This new rumor claims characters are finally joining the game soon.
Redditor Acrobatic_Internal_2 recently discovered an unfinished quest log referencing to some names and organizations from the Edgerunners. It had an entry where players will be calling Falco, one of the major characters from the anime and watching a BD from NightCorp. There is also a reference from the Legendary Netrunner Alt Cunnigham.
Note that this has not been verified yet by CDPR so there is no way to know if this is real or not. Still, if this new info is true, then it would be sweet to meet familiar characters from Edgerunners once again and this time in their Cyberpunk 2077 forms.
