Cyberpunk 2077 MAY have been delayed due to current-gen console performance

While it’s nothing but rumors, there is talk online saying that CD Projekt Red delayed their game due to problems with current generation consoles. Cyberpunk 2077 has been moved from April 16th to September 17th,

The fact that it’s been pushed back for such a long time alarmed many people as to what the current state of the game was. While the developers claim that it’s due to polishing, many people have started to talk rumors. But according to Borys Niespielak the main reason for the delay is the current generation consoles.

Niespielak is a “supposed Polish insider” who spoke in a popular Polish podcast. This podcast has been translated to English, and the man basically says that CD Projekt Red is running into quite the trouble with the PS4 and Xbox One which is the main reason as to why the developers delayed their game.

While it’s impossible to say that Niespielak is a reliable source of info as he does not work for CD Projekt Red, what he does say does sound feasible. Though not quite confirmed. If the game was significantly delayed this late into stages, there may be more problems about the game than just simple polishing.

But then again, these are just rumors. We’ll wait and see for the release of the game if what Niespielak said is true.
