Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 Adds Edgerunners Easter Eggs and More

Also a new arcade game to discover and check out!

CD Projekt RED has recently released Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 and it has added Edgerunners easter eggs that will make fans’ eyes teary.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 Edgerunners Easter Eggs Makes Fans Emotional

Fans of both the game and the popular anime adaptation Cyberpunk Edgerunners discovered one of the most heartbreaking easter eggs after installing update 2.0 in Cyberpunk 2077. According to the Reddit post, the easter eggs are dedicated to all the fallen characters from the anime, some are found in the infamous graveyard.

Visit these four graffiti murals in the graveyard to find images dedicated to the cast of Edgerunners who died. Based on the messages from these murals, it is clear that the female protagonist Lucy was the one to put them there.

The first mural is dedicated to the tragic hero David Martinez who died in the final episode of Edgerunners at the hands of Adam Smasher. The message really hits hard here since Lucy gives the most endearing dedication: “You didn’t take me to the moon, but you were there with me.”

The second mural is dedicated to Gloria Martinez, the mother of David, who tragically died in the first episode. “You were right. David reached the top of Arasaka Tower,” it said.

The third mural is for three Edgerunners characters: Pilor, Dorio, and Maine. These were members of the gang that David and Lucy ran with. “You were the only family I ever had.”

The final mural is dedicated to the best girl in Edgerunners, Rebecca who died fighting in Arasaka Tower. “I regret not finishing our conversation.”

Fans of the anime will definitely be moved if they get to visit these murals right now. Prepare tissues because I was not ready.

Arasaka Tower Arcade Game

Aside from the Edgerunners easter eggs, update 2.0 adds an interesting game mode for the game: an arcade shooter that looks similar to Doom. It is called Arasaka Tower, a new arcade game that V can pick up. It lets players play as Johnny Silverhand, reliving the events when he raided Arasaka Tower a few decades ago. Enjoy guys!

Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Phantom Liberty releases later on September 26, 2023.
