Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios recently revealed new information about two new Dead Island 2 characters.
Aside from the one that was introduced in the first announcement, there will be more characters that are playable in Dead Island 2. According to media outlet Game Informer, there will be six playable characters in this game with Jacob, the Lenny Kravitz-inspired character already revealed. Only two new characters got revealed today and these are Ryan and Dani, and they have very interesting backstories.
Ryan is a pole dancer with a firefighter routine. Since he has a big physique, he can throw enemies around and carry heavy weapons. He has two innate skills called Retaliation and Seesaw. The first skill gives him a moderate force boost when using block or dodge to avoid an attack. The latter lets him regain health each time he knocks down a zombie.
Dani is an Irish punk rocker who loves roller derby. She becomes a berserker in combat and can use explosive heavy attacks on zombies. She has two innate skills called Thunderstruck and Bloodlust. The first skill lets her heavy attacks release a powerful explosion on impact. The second skill lets her regain health upon a quick succession of attacks.
Both characters have different circumstances for landing on Hell-A and are trying their best to live this hellish apocalypse just like the other survivors.
Dead Island 2 launches on April 28, 2023. It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
