Dead Island 2 Video Showcases the Procedural FLESH System

Look how you can damage a zombie's face and see the aftereffects in gory manner.

Dambuster Studio has now released a new Dead Island 2 video as launch day draws near. It features the new procedural dismemberment feature called the FLESH System.

The new video comes from Game Informer showcasing how the FLESH System works. Dambuster Studio’s Senior Render Programmer Aaron Ridge and Technical Art Director Dan Evans-Lawes explain how it works in the game like how hitting zombies will not just instantly kill them or make their heads explode instantly. With this new system, bits of flesh will be carved away or muscles will be beaten to a pulp depending on the weapon used.

According to Ridge, players will continue to damage enemies with a progressive feeling that will lead to more damage. Bits of flesh will be carved away, clothes will be torn, and limbs will be torn with each swing especially the zombies that are rotten already.

Players will be able to see how gory and almost realistic the gameplay will be in Dead Island 2. They can beat zombies to a pulp with various melee blunt weapons to use. Fans who want to see how they can “torture” zombies to death can finally live their dreams here.
