A fan-made Dead Space Demake is finally available to play and download online today.
Developer Fraser Brumley recently announced on his personal Twitter account that his awesome project Dead Space Demake is now playable. It will be a full 15-minute gameplay experience for those who try it out.
According to Brumley, he developed Dead Space Demake to help him learn Unreal Engine and let him experiment with the PS1 aesthetic. This version shows players what the game could have looked like if it got released on the PS1 rather than on the PS3 and Xbox 360, which were the first console platforms of the original Dead Space.
Brumley talked about the demake’s total playthrough time noting that it took him around 10 to 15 minutes. “It’s a bit hard to say though because I got so good at speed running it while making it.”
The demake is now available to download for free on itch.io and playable on Windows PC.
