Destiny 2 Weekly Reset January 31 2023 – Fortress Iron Banner Returns

Here's what's coming up for the ninth week of Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset January 31 2023 Featured Image

This is your Destiny 2 Weekly Reset for January 31 2023. It feels like yesterday that the Fortress game mode was introduced into the game. It’s been roughly a month since then, and questionable design decisions aside, it was a mostly fun game mode. But we hope that everything goes smoothly for this weekly reset.

Other than that, Bungie has changed the weekly Deepsight weapon focusing from the Exo Frame to be available daily for the remainder of the Season. This is to help players craft those final weapons before Lightfall arrives. Additionally, this also applies to all other vendors aboard the H.E.L.M. from Seasons 16 to 18.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time

As always, the Destiny 2 weekly reset times are 10 AM PDT for the folks on the West Coast of the US. 6 AM BST for our readers in Britain. And 2 AM JST the following day for everyone in Japan.

Destiny 2 Weekly Activities January 31 – February 06 2023 Overview

First things first, Bungie has adjusted Iron Banner reputation gains this time around. It will be increased in several ways when Fortress returns on Tuesday’s reset.

  • An increase to base reputation earned per match.
  • An increased multiplier contribution from wearing Iron Banner armor.
  • An increased multiplier contribution from equipping an Iron Banner emblem.

This week also sees a boost in all Vanguard activities throughout the week. If you’re still going after the Veles-X Vanguard ritual ornament, this can go a long way in helping you out.

Where is Xur? February 03 2023

It’s that time of the week again when everyone in the Destiny 2 community asks the question – Where is Xur?

This weekend Xur can be found on the cliff overlooking the Winding Cove in the EDZ.
Just head North of the fast-travel spot and look for the cave that’s directly under his airship.

This week’s featured raid will be the refurbished Vault of Glass from the early days of Destiny. We go to the very heart of the Vex network in this one, and we prevent an overwhelming Vex invasion from crossing into our plane of existence.

As for the featured dungeon this week, we head back to the loot cave in Grasp of Avarice. Between the high health bosses and the jumping puzzles, is anything besides the Gllarhorn really worth it in this so-called loot cave? Only one way to find out.

And as usual, completing these featured content will reward you with pinnacle gear.

Vault of Glass Raid Challenges

  • Wait for it… – Done during the Confluxes encounter, it requires that every yellow-bar Wyvern must be killed as they are sacrificing themselves to the confluxes

This week’s King’s Fall Challenge is going to be Hands Off. Done during the Oryx encounter, and it requires the whole raid team to not kill the same Light-Eater Ogre or Knight twice. Communication is key for this one, but if your team can coordinate accordingly, there’s no reason why you won’t get this done.

If you accomplish this, you and your raid team will be rewarded with an additional raid chest that contains Hallowed loot and some high-stat armor. And if you’ve been keeping track, necessary to Gild that King’s Slayer Seal.
