Nintendo has recently announced the Detective Pikachu Returns release date during the latest Nintendo Direct event.
Detective Pikachu Returns Origins
A few years ago, Nintendo revealed the sequel to the popular Pokemon-related game, Detective Pikachu. It also kind of tied into the live-action movie of the same name, which had the same Detective Pikachu who loves coffee. The sequel will be the same with new mysteries to solve and new Pokemon to encounter. The original was first released on the 3DS in 2018 and was an adventure game spin-off of the Pokemon series that focused more on the plot.
Players will be taking on the role of a boy named Tim Goodman who teams up with the talking Pikachu who loves coffee to solve numerous mysteries.

Detective Pikachu Returns will launch on October 6, 2023 on Nintendo Switch.
