Diablo 4 Patch 1.2.0 and Season 2 Changes Revealed

Big changes are finally coming to the game and might just drastically improve it.

Blizzard has recently revealed the upcoming changes to Diablo 4 patch 1.2.0 and Season 2 during the developer update livestream.

The upcoming patch 1.2.0 and Season 2 which is called Season of Blood will be available on October 17, 2023. This new patch will include a long list of crucial quality-of-life updates, adds more endgame activities, and significantly increase experience gains to make the grind to level 100 faster.

There are also five new endgame bosses to fight across Sanctuary. This will give more variety to the Endgame experiences offered. This will give them better chances to obtain specific, Unique and Uber Unique items. Players can unlock these new Boss fights via completing different tasks across Sanctuary with different resources required to face each Boss.

Endgame activities have changed too like the time between Legion Events has been reduced from 30 to 25 minutes. World Bosses are available more frequently to players on all World Tiers since Spawn Times have been reduced. Gold and Experience rewards have been increased in various activities.

It will be easier and faster to reach level 100 this time around, which makes the whole adventure about 40 percent faster than before. Experience gained from killing monsters at level 50+ has been increased significantly and rises steadily as players level up.

Nightmare Sigils will now teleport players into the Nightmare Dungeon. These sigils will now be rewarded upon completing a Nightmare Dungeon instead of a final boss defeat, which will prevent players from entering Dungeons that have no final boss.

Events are now more worthwhile and enticing to players by increasing monster density. NPCs that are stranded inside dungeons will not get killed instantly in World Tiers III and IV.

Gems are now crafting material, making inventory space significantly freed up. Gem materials can now be taken to a Jeweler for crafting. Hardcore players will not worry anymore if they get disconnected due to connectivity issues as they will not lose progress anymore. They will automatically consume Scrolls of escape if they get disconnected while in combat, teleporting them to a safe location.

All in all, Patch 1.2.0 offers TONS of changes to the game when it launches to all platforms this coming October 17, 2023.
