Diablo IV Paragon Board Takes a Long Time to Complete

The Paragon System that was first introduced in Diablo III makes a return in the upcoming video game Diablo IV but this is a whole different Paragon Board, Blizzard says.

In a Q&A interview with media outlet Wccftech, Lead Game Producer Kayleigh Calder and Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora discussed the new Paragon System. According to Calder, it’s a new system except for the name. This will allow players to go beyond the character to continue that customization journey and give them more choices in building their character. This would make no two characters similar and will play entirely differently due not only to the weapons, equipment, legendaries, and enchants but the choices they would make within the Paragon Board.

Piepiora then revealed that while the Paragon Board can be difficult to max out, it is possible to do so. He then clarified that it is impossible to make that happen in just one season. It will take more than that and could go longer depending on the progress. They want to stay away from giving unlimited progression within a season or just in general, they want players to have a goal at least. It can be maxed out and customizable to make a character unique, but there is an end goal to achieve.

Diablo IV launches on June 6, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
