The Narwhal Pursuit Walkthrough
To start The Narwhal pursuit, head to the Pale Reach and go to I-3, where you will find the Photographer’s boat. Talk to her, and she will tell you about the narwhal that she is trying to take a picture of. She then asks for your help to get enough fish to serve as bait for it.
You can then place any type of fish on the grid as long as you can fill it entirely. Once done, you and the Photographer will then have to wait until nighttime for the narwhal to take the bait. Once night falls, the narwhal then appears and jumps down on the bait, taking down the entire ice debris with it. After realizing that it wasn’t just a narwhal, the Photographer sails away. You’ll then complete the pursuit, and you can then explore deeper into the Pale Reach.
As you explore the area, you will encounter the ice monster frequently as it patrols the waters. Use it to your advantage, as you can use the same bait technique to open up paths that lead to the other sections of the Pale Reach.
