eFootball Early Autumn Launch is “Basically a Demo” According to Konami

Game company Konami has just confirmed that the upcoming early autumn release of eFootball is “basically a demo”.

In a recent FAQ posted on the video game’s official Twitter account, several questions were answered by the game company. One of the notable ones was the early autumn release and its contents. While it is in many ways just like a demo, it will have the visuals and gameplay that the final version will have, but it will only have a limited number of teams and modes.

At launch, the game will have no microtransactions at all, which literally means that it will be free-to-play. During Autumn, more content will be added, possibly the microtransactions will be added there then. More details will follow later.

To keep players company during the Early Autumn release, they can actually play against the CPU/AI with the Local Match mode. Edit Mode/Option Files are being planned for PS5, PS4, and PC after the first release in a free update.

Players can play with others via cross-platform and the game offers multiple filters for matchmaking. They can either play together with other platforms or not if they want. There are those who are worried that the mobile version will make the other platforms downgrade their visuals in crossplay, but that would not be the case. The mobile version will have its visuals adjusted, but on the consoles and PC, nothing will change or downgrade.

Master League mode will be added later on as a paid DLC. Since it is free-to-play, some game modes will not be available and will be premium for those who will buy it. There are other modes to play on and will be free.

eFootball, previously known as Pro Evolution Soccer, will launch sometime in Autumn 2021 for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Android and iOS versions will be launched at a later time.
