Game company Square Enix has announced that the first half of the big collection Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is now available.
Classic titles like Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III are now available on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. FF Pixel Remaster offers all six original classic titles from the popular Final Fantasy series to modern platforms.
What are the upgrades expected from the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster?
The first half of the big collection will have upgrades like:
- Universally updated 2D pixel graphics redrawn for modern platforms. It includes the iconic Final Fantasy character pixel designs done by the original artist and current collaborator Kazuko Shibuya
- Rearrange soundtracks overseen by original composer Nobuo Uematsu
- Improved gameplay, modernized UI, auto-battle settings, and more
- Quality-of-life improvements like illustration gallery, music player, save at any time, bestiary, and more.
What are the exclusive bonuses for buying Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster before August 11 on Steam?
Those who purchase FINAL FANTASY, II or III by August 11, 2021 on Steam will receive exclusive bonuses, including three specially rearranged music tracks, two exclusive wallpapers and a 20 percent discount per each respective title. These special tracks transition from the original versions to the new arrangements and can only be obtained via early purchase until August 11 on individual titles or via the bundle on Steam. The select music tracks include:
- FINAL FANTASY – Main Theme (Timelapse Remix), Matoya’s Cave (Timelapse Remix) and Battle (Timelapse Remix)
- FINAL FANTASY II – Battle Theme 1 (Timelapse Remix), The Rebel Army (Timelapse Remix) and Main Theme (Timelapse Remix)
- FINAL FANTASY III – Battle 1 (Timelapse Remix), Eternal Wind (Timelapse Remix) and The Boundless Ocean (Timelapse Remix)
Each of these tracks have been given new arrangements under the full oversight of the original composer, Nobuo Uematsu.

When do we expect the second half of the big collection?
While the first half of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is now available for purchase, the second half that includes Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI will be announced at a later date. Buying the whole bundle is now available for pre-purchase as well with a lower discount.
