Final Fantasy XIV’s Hatching-tide event will be returning to the game this month. As Easter approaches in the fictional realm of Eorzea, players can look forward to seeing plenty of egg-themed jokes and gifts all around Gridania during the occasion known as Hatching-tide. Due to the fact that this event begins immediately following the release of Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1, players will have no problem finding friends with whom to go egg-hunting.
Every time a new event is added to the game, it attracts a new wave of players eager to relive their memories of the previous one. This guide will walk you through the process of participating in Hatching-Tide 2022 and what you may expect in return.
Where to Start the Hatching-Tide 2022 Event Quest in Final Fantasy XIV
Newcomers and seasoned players alike will find it simple and enjoyable to take part in this event. On April 13, 2022 at 1 a.m., the 2022 Hatching-Tide will begin and will last until April 27, 2022 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT)/14:59 p.m. (GMT). Finish the seasonal event before that time to receive all of the rewards.
Players who want to participate in the new Hatching-Tide seasonal event in Final Fantasy XIV will need to be a Level 15 Disciple of War or Magic. Once Hatching-Tide Event begins, players will be able to pick up the quest from Jihli Aliapoh in Old Gridania. To help you out, here are the details.
Hippity, Hoppity, Happily Quest Guide in Hatching-Tide 2022 Event
First of all, In Old Gridania, meet Jihli Aliapoh at (X:10.2, Y:9.4) to begin the seasonal quest ‘Hippity, Hoppity, Happily’.
After that, go and chat with Nonotta in Old Gridania (X:5.2, Y:7.8). For your convenience, the nearest Aethernet Shard is the Botanist’s Guild.
Nanotta tells you that they have been having some problems acquiring some eggs. What you select when she asks you to mediate between the rabbit and the chicken doesn’t matter. Eventually, you’ll have to gather witnesses who can tell you where the animals went.

After conversing with the Bewildered Botanist, you can proceed directly to the Hatching-tide Helpmeet without having to talk to all witnesses.
Following that, you must complete the FATE ‘Happiness is a Warm Bunny’ in the Central Shroud. Bentbranch Meadows is the Aetheryte that is the closest for you to travel. The FATE occurs in this location (X:25, Y:29).
How to Complete the Happiness is a Warm Bunny FATE in Hatching-Tide 2022 Event
This FATE, like other FATEs, has a timer, so you may have to wait a while before it begins. Make sure to click the “Join FATE” option on the right after it appears, otherwise you won’t be able to finish the quest and you won’t acquire the net needed.
Once the FATE begins, your goal is to catch as many chickens as possible using the net. Since the chickens frequently get lost in the swamp of people trying to catch them, it is admittedly a mess. Searching for blue circles or simply rushing about and swinging your net as much as you can are your greatest options.
You don’t have to worry about catching a certain number of animals if your goal is simply to complete the FATE. It’s a good idea to organize or join a party with other players in the region, since this will enhance your rewards at the end of the FATE.
Fortune Eggs will be given to those that complete the FATE. Return to Jihli Aliapoh at (X:10.2, Y:9.4) in Old Gridania and speak to Nonotta, who is now standing right next to Jihli.
Complete the quest by speaking with Jihli Aliapoh at (X:10.2, Y:9.4) for the last time to earn yourself the following rewards:
- Hatching Bunny Minion
- ‘Happy Hunting’ Achievement.
How to Get The Eat Egg Emote in Hatching-Tide 2022 Event
Other than that, what about the rest of the seasonal items? That’s when those Fortune Eggs come in handy, right? In the Amphitheatre in Old Gridania, speak to the Dreamer Egg Advocate in the blue chicken costume (X:10.2, Y:9.2) and exchange them for other seasonal goodies.
For the time being, you cannot purchase anything from the Dreamer’s shop until you have finished the seasonal quest line “Hippity, Hoppity, Happily.”
You can repeat the FATE as many times as you desire throughout the event to receive more Fortune Eggs. There are 10 Fortune eggs awarded for a Gold FATE rating, five for a Silver, and so on.

Egg Hunter Riggy Mini Game
In addition, you may play the Egg Hunter Riggy Mini Game, which can be found in a toy chest throughout any Inn room, and which becomes enraged when a spriggan runs into ladybugs and loses all of its gold in the course of the game. It’s a great way to start your day, and we strongly suggest it.
