Final Fantasy XIV Online 10 Year Support Plan Revealed

10 years of support!!

Final Fantasy XIV Server Status

Square Enix has recently revealed its upcoming plans for the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online.

According to the game company, it has plans to continue support for the MMORPG for the next 10 years. They have also revealed some of the upcoming content that players will be looking forward to in the future.

This was all revealed during the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast by Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida. He revealed a number of additions that will be coming to the game in order to help the game evolve further into an online RPG experience that can be enjoyed both solo and with others. They also have plans for longer term goals like improved graphics.

In the upcoming Patch 6.1, the in-game Trust System, which allows players to tackle select main scenario dungeons with a party of NPC allies, will be expanded. This will now allow players to enjoy the story at their own leisure without the need to find a party of other players. It will be released sometime in April 2022. The Trust System will be implemented for all main scenario dungeons of A Realm Reborn.

Several low-level main scenario duties will now be adjusted to support an accessible, solo-play experience. This is to support the new players and those who just want a single player experience.

Yoshida has also confirmed they are now working on the game’s first graphical update with the first enhancements aiming to implement with the launch of the next expansion pack. More will be revealed later on. Both character and world visuals will be improved.

There is a partial roadmap of upcoming new content has been revealed. This is not the comprehensive list, which means there will be more unannounced content that will be revealed at a later date.
