Aberrations are mutated versions of the various sea creatures in Dredge. These are fishes that have been affected by the ooze down to their molecular structure, making them take monstrous and even supernatural forms.

Read ahead as we take a look at our top 10 freakiest Aberrations in Dredge and share the locations of where to find them.

    10. Shard Ray

The Shard Ray is the aberration of the Stingray. This fish appears to have grown black crystal shards from inside its body which have pierced through its skin. Its silhouette makes it look more like a fighter jet. The Shard Ray can be caught in The Marrows using a Shallow rod any time of the day. It can be sold for at least $150.

    9. Vortex Interloper

The Vortex Interloper is the aberration of the Sergeant Fish. Its mutation has encompassed just its physical looks as it appears to be getting sucked into a different dimension. The Vortex Interloper can be caught in the Twisted Strand using a Mangrove rod or trawl during daytime. It can be sold for at least $70.

    8. Voideye

The Voideye is the aberration of the Barreleye. Its clear bulbous head has now grown in size as a vortex leading into the void grows within it. The Voideye can be caught in the Stellar Basin using an Abyssal rod any time of the day. It can be sold for at least $40.

    7. Gnashing Perch

The Gnashing Perch is the aberration of the Oceanic Perch. This fish is basically a pair of dentures that grew a tail and some fins as most of its face has become a set of gnashers. The Gnashing Perch can be caught in Gale Cliffs using a Coastal rod or trawl during daytime. It can be sold for at least $17.

    6. Cleft-Mouth Shark

The Cleft-Mouth Shark is the aberration of the Blacktip Reef Shark. Its mutation made its maw go almost all the way to its tail, allowing it to chomp down on larger prey. The Cleft-Mouth Shark can be caught in The Marrows using an oceanic rod or trawl during nighttime. It can be sold for at least $275.

    5. Savage Barracuda

The Savage Barracuda is the aberration of the Barracuda. It moves so aggressively and violently that it causes its own flesh to tear apart, but it doesn’t seem to mind at all. The Savage Barracuda can be caught in the Stellar Basin using a Shallow rod during daytime. It can be sold for at least $35.

    4. Medusa Octopus

The Medusa Octopus is the aberration of the Glowing Octopus. Each of its tentacle has mutated and grown a mouth akin to its namesake. The Medusa Octopus can be caught in the Stellar Basin using a Shallow rod or pot during nighttime. It can be sold for at least $95.

    3. Bursting Anglerfish

The Bursting Anglerfish is the aberration of the Anglerfish. It did away with its glowing lure in exchange for an inner jaw that extends outwards, making it look like the famous Xenomorphs from Aliens. The Bursting Anglerfish can be caught in the Stellar Basin using an Abyssal rod any time of the day. It can be sold for at least $110.

    2. Collapsed Viperfish

The Collapsed Viperfish is the aberration of the Viperfish. It appears that this fish has vomited out its insides which has turned into a mass of indistinguishable flesh. The Collapsed Viperfish can be caught in the Open Ocean using an Abyssal rod any time of the day. It can be sold for at least $30.

    1. Defaced Skate

The Defaced Skate is the aberration of the Pale Skate. This is the ultimate nope fish of Dredge as it looks like a cursed face is growing out of the fish itself, complete with a spinal column that has replaced its tail. The Defaced Skate can be caught in the Devil’s Spine using a Volcanic rod or trawl during daytime. It can be sold for at least $135.
