The Among Us inspired game Goose Goose Duck has surpassed it in terms of the concurrent player account, by a mile. According to the official website of Steam, it has peaked at 563,677 players compared to Among Us with 11,245. It is now the third most popular game on Steam.

Media outlet Eurogamer revealed that this game actually got popular due to K-pop. Of all things, it got popular due to K-pop. It was recently streamed by BTS member Kim Tae-hyung, which then made it popular.

Industry Analyst Daniel Ahmad stated the game is now very popular in Asian markets, especially Korea and China.

It did have problems along the way, which was on its servers. It lacked the capacity to host tons of new players after the sudden surge. The developers quickly took action and servers got stable and ready to take in more people in just a day.
