Everything We Know So Far About Gundam Evolution

A new Gundam game just popped up out of nowhere and fans are already ecstatic about it and it is called Gundam Evolution.

This is a new type of Gundam game where fans from all franchises might be able to enjoy. Bandai Namco Entertainment will be publishing this awesome new IP and new details about it just got released. Our resident Japanese translator has already given a summary of what these important details are and here is what we know so far:

The gameplay for this new title is FPS free-to-play online multiplayer and will be 6v6. Currently, there are a total of 10 mobile suits playable from different Gundam series from different timelines. There will be three competitive game modes that players will be able to enjoy. Check out the details below:

    • Point capture – It’s a rule that divides into an attacking side and a defending side and competes for targets on the map. The attacker aims to occupy the target on the map within the time limit, and the defender aims to prevent the occupancy.

Two rounds are played in one match, and the offense and defense are switched at the end of one round. When the attacker occupies target A in the first area, the second area and target B are released, and the attacker’s sortie area is also changed. The round ends when the attacker occupies all targets or the defender defends to the time limit.
    • Domination –  a rule that competes for three goals that are randomly released on the map. Both teams aim to occupy a target that is open to only one of the three.

After a certain period of time, the targets that can be suppressed will change. A maximum of 3 rounds per match. The round ends when the time limit expires or when either team’s occupancy reaches 100%.
    • Destruction is a rule that is divided into an attacking side and a defending side to destroy or defend a target existing on the map. The attacker aims to activate the destructive weapon against the target existing on the map within the time limit, and the defender aims to prevent the activation of the destructive weapon.

Two rounds are played in one match, and the offense and defense are switched at the end of one round. There is a relay area on the map, and the attacking team will occupy it so that you can also sortie from the relay area.

If the attacker destroys one of the two targets in the first area, the two targets in the second area will be released and the sortie areas of both teams will be changed. If the attacker destroys the target in Area 2 or the defender defends until the time limit, the round ends and the offense and defense are switched.

The units that appeared to be playable on the newest teaser trailer feature Sazabi, the original Gundam, Ashimar, Dom Trooper, GM Sniper, and surprisingly Barbatos. Here’s the full list of playable units:
