343 Industries Studio Head Chris Lee took to the official social media account of the franchise to announce something in regards to Halo Infinite.
Lee announced that due to numerous factors, the newest title of the Halo series will be delayed and will have to be polished more. They made the difficult decision to choose this option to give their team more time to deliver a better game experience that meets their vision.
One of the multiple factors, according to Lee, that contributed to the delay was the ongoing COVID-related impacts that affected everyone this year. He acknowledged the hard work that their development team has done for the game, but the situation is not sustainable for the well-being of their team or the overall success of the game to ship it this holiday.
The team apologizes for the delay and hopes for understanding from the fans. They are just asking for more time to make the game all better when it gets released.
Halo Infinite will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X sometime next year.
