Two main protagonists of HBO’s The Last of Us show just got filled and they are familiar actors from different shows.

The first one to be revealed was the one who will portray Ellie. It will be the actress Bella Ramsey of Lyanna Mormont fame from Game of Thrones TV series. Due to her popularity during the popular TV show, it would be a great fit for the upcoming one based from a famous video game series.

Bella Ramsey, perhaps best known for her breakout role as the fierce Lyanna Mormont in HBO’s 'Game of Thrones,' is reuniting with the cabler to star in 'The Last of Us,' the company’s adaptation of the hit video game.https://t.co/AseJuNW1LK

The next one to be announced was actor Pedro Pascal and he will be portraying Joel in the series. He also starred in Game of Thrones as Oberyn Martell that had a tragic death, but he is currently popular due to his role in Disney’s The Mandalorian. Due to his fatherly role in the latter, he is a perfect fit for the role since in the game, Joel acts like a father figure to Ellie.

EXCLUSIVE: #TheMandalorian star Pedro Pascal is set to headline The Last Of Us, HBO’s high-profile series adaptation of the Sony Playstation franchise #TheLastOfUs https://t.co/eOkWqyrTV5

Craig Mazin is the script writer and executive producer together with Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann. Kantemir Balagov will be the one to direct the pilot episode.

Hopefully HBO’s The Last of Us show will be a good portrayal of the video game and would be faithful to it. No word yet on its release date.
