That’s The Last of Us HBO voice actors and cast. Since this is a film adaptation of the video game, there are original characters included in the show that were not in the original game.

Pedro Pascal will be playing Joel Miller in The Last of Us HBO. The announcement of his casting was positively received as his performance in The Mandalorian as the titular character was stellar. This isn’t the first time Pedro will be portraying a hardened survivor escorting a child through dangerous scenarios.

Ellie will be portrayed by Bella Ramsey. Bella confessed to learning an American accent specifically to prepare for the role. Both Pedro and Bella had previous roles in Game of Thrones even though their characters never met so this isn’t their first time working in the same show.

Tommy who is the brother of Joel and a former member of the Fireflies will be played by Gabriel Luna. The American actor has starred in several noteworthy shows such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Robbie Reyes and Terminator: Dark Fate as a terminator called Rev-9.

The Last of Us HBO voice actors and cast Joel and Ellie

Voice actors Troy Baker and Ashely Johnson who portrayed Joel Miller and Ellie respectively in the game will have their own roles in The Last of Us HBO. Troy will be playing James who was one of David’s men in the original game. Interestingly, Ashley Johnson who voiced Ellie will be playing her mother, Anna, who has never been seen in The Last of Us video games.

Merle Dandridge who was the voice actor for the character in the original game will be reprising her role as Marlene, the leader of the Fireflies and a friend of Ellie’s mother. It won’t be surprising that Merle would be very familiar with how to play the character because of this. Marlene is responsible for kickstarting the plot of The Last of Us by hiring Joel to help smuggle Ellie outside of Boston.

Bill, who is a lone survivalist Joel and Ellie come across in their journey, is played by American actor Nick Offerman. Initially, Robert Con O’Neill was supposed to be cast for the role but was forced to drop it because of schedule conflicts. Nick Offerman seems perfect for the role of Bill thanks to the deep baritone and deadpan delivery which the character from the game also posses.

Nico Parker will be playing Joel’s daughter, Ellie, who is one of the catalyst for Joel being who he is in the game. Nico is known for starring in 2019’s Dumbo, and amusingly enough played a character in The Third Day named Ellie.

David, one of The Last of Us’ antagonists, is played by Scott Shepherd. Shepherd previously starred as antagonists in films such as Jason Bourne and El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.

Joel’s smuggling partner, Tess, is played by Anna Torv. The Australian actress previously played main roles in Mindhunter and The Newsreader.
