Hitman III Game Modes Detailed But Multiplayer Mode Not Coming Back

Game company IO Interactive recently revealed important details about the game modes for upcoming video game Hitman III.

The game modes are quite similar to the previous titles like Elusive Targets, Contracts Mode, Sniper Assassin, and more.

Campaign mode will be following the story of the third title of the World of Assassination trilogy. Game protagonist Agent 47 will be infiltrating different locations and looking for his targets and then quietly leaving the said area without being detected.

Elusive Targets will be the same as the previous game, limited and unique targets that players need to find with or without the help of the HUD or Instinct. The developers are planning to make some changes to this mode later on.

Escalations will change the game and nothing could prepare the player. In this mode, they will encounter new elements that might appear in random. There will be some restrictions as well and some might just complicate the mission.

Contracts mode will still be the same: players choose their own targets, choose how to eliminate them and then make an action. After completing it, they can challenge their friends to top their scores on the leaderboards.

Sniper Assassin will be about eliminating targets from afar without triggering alarms while completing challenges. If they do that, players can boost their scores higher. These will be single-player experiences only for now, but there are plans for multiplayer at a later time.

Ghost Mode, unfortunately, will not make a comeback in this title. They even shut down the servers Hitman 2’s Ghost Mode due to some issues. They are still making plans for another multiplayer mode, but for now it will all be single-player.

Hitman 3 will launch in January 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. It will also support PlayStation VR.
