Guerilla Games announced the Horizon Forbidden West major update adding new features to the game.
Horizon Forbidden West Update Adds New Game+
The new major update that is now available today will finally introduce features that many fans have been waiting for like New Game+ and Ultra Hard mode. With New Game+, players can retain all of the items, gear, materials, skills, and other content to a new playthrough but without the key items. Ultra Hard mode will be for players who want a real challenge when playing the game.
Transmog Now Possible
There are also other quality-of-life features that will get added to the game with this major update like the transmog feature. This allows players to easily customize the cosmetics of their equipped outfit to look like any other owned outfit. They can also respect Aloy, which will enable players to freely reset their skill points and redistribute them for a better build.
Dedicated Trophy Pack
This update has a dedicated trophy pack that will track victories on Ultra Hard mode via New Game+. There is also a new Herbalist vendor who sells animal parts. The Temporal Anti-Aliasing has been revamped to improve the visual fidelity of the Performance mode on PS5 and rendering on PS4 Pro.
Upcoming Plans
A new patch is already in the works that will include VRR support and a 40 FPS Mode.
Horizon Forbidden West is now available on PS4 and PS5.
