Sony has recently made a vow to plant trees for every player of Horizon Forbidden West who has achieved a certain trophy.
This is part of the Play and Plant Initiative that Sony has started. Players of the upcoming game who have achieved the Reached the Daunt trophy will be counted as a tree that will be planted by the game company.
This is in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. Sony will be contributing to the three reforestation projects in the United States, which are Douglas County Forest, Sheep Fire Private Lands, and Torreya State Park.
There is a limit to this though since players will need to get that trophy until March 25, 2022. The good news is the trophy can be unlocked very early in the main story of the game.
According to estimations, it would take 288,000 trees to complete each of the reforestation projects. The sales of Horizon Forbidden West will easily make this goal quite achievable.
Other regions are support the same projects as well like the UK. In this region, the Eden Project Biomes dome in Cornwall will be lit up to make it look like Aloy’s Shieldwing. There is also a 12-acre wildflower habitat being planned to be planted in Morecambe, Lancashire.
France is also doing their own tree planting project as well.
Horizon Forbidden West launches on February 18, 2022. It will be available on PS4, and PS5.
