Horizon Forbidden West New Update Adds Lance Reddick Memorial

RIP Lance Reddick.

Guerilla Games has recently released a new update for Horizon Forbidden West which added a memorial for a beloved actor who has passed on.

Horizon Forbidden West’s Well-Known Villain/Anti-Hero

The Horizon series has various interesting characters that Aloy encounters along her adventures, including the logical and villainous Sylens. His voice and likeness were based on his voice actor Lance Reddick, who is a famous Hollywood actor known for his big supporting roles in many films. His latest role was on John Wick 4 as Charon, the enigmatic hotel receptionist. It was unfortunate to know that a few days later he died in his home in Los Angeles in March 2023 at the age of 60.

New Update Adds Beautiful Memorial

Many in the film industry mourned Reddick’s passing and even more by gamers as he was widely known as Commander Zavala in Destiny 2. Today, a new update was released by Guerilla Games to give tribute to Reddick in-game.

“In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all,” the studio said in the latest Twitter post.

“Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your gravitas, energy, wisdom and more. An incomparable talent and friend. We miss you terribly.”

See the Burning Shores

In order to see the memorial, players only need to have the Burning Shores expansion as it is located there.

Horizon Forbidden West is out now on PS4 and PS5. Burning Shores is only available on PS5.
