Kojima Productions dropped a brand-new trailer for the much-anticipated sequel to Death Stranding. Revealed during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s State of Play, the game is officially titled Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and is set to be an exclusive release for PS5 in the year 2025.
Players will join Sam and his companions on a mission of human connection beyond the UCA (United Cities of America). The game takes you on a gripping journey to save humanity from extinction, navigating a world filled with otherworldly enemies, obstacles, and the question is: should we have connected? Step by step, the legendary game creator Hideo Kojima aims to change the gaming landscape once again.
Hideo Kojima collaborates with longtime partner Yoji Shinkawa, who will be in charge of character and mechanical design. Ludvig Forssell and Kyle Cooper also make a return, handling the roles of musical director and title designer, respectively.
For those eager to delve deeper into Hideo Kojima’s creative process and gain a behind-the-scenes look at the original Death Stranding, a documentary titled “Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” is set to premiere next month on Disney+.
