Stats in Lies of P determine P’s effectiveness, abilities, and performance during combat. Knowing which stat to invest in will be important, as players may want to put points on stats that could match well with their play style.
Read ahead as we talk more about the different stats in Lies of P and how they affect the combat of the game.
All stats in Lies of P
There are six different stats to invest in Lies of P, which are as follows:
- Vitality
- Vigor
- Capacity
- Motivity
- Technique
- Advance
Vitality
Vitality determines P’s HP, Guard Regen, Overall Physical Attack (Weapon and Legion Arm), as well as Defense against Physical and Elemental Damage.
Guard Regen is the ability to recover HP lost from a regular guarded attack. It appears as a faint gray bar at the end of the current HP. Hitting an enemy while this bar is present will allow P to regain HP up to the point of completely filling up the regen bar. The regen bar only lasts for a few seconds and filling it up will depend on the amount of damage that an attack can deal per hit. If the regen bar disappears, the regen stops.
Vigor
Vigor determines the amount of P’s Stamina bar, as well as Defense against Physical and Elemental Damage. This stat has the highest overall defense gain compared to the other stats.
Capacity
Capacity determines the amount of P’s Legion Bar and total Weight that can be carried/equipped, as well as Defense against Physical and Elemental Damage.
The Legion Bar can be considered as the energy bar which shows how many times P can use his Legion Arm. This bar does not recover over time and has to be manually replenished.
The total Weight only accounts for the items that are currently equipped on P. It does not include in the calculation the items in the inventory, belt, or even the weapons that are currently in P’s inventory, but are not equipped in the two weapon slots.
Motivity
Motivity increases the overall Physical Attack and can be considered closely related to P’s Strength. Heavy weapon users would want to put on points to this stat as weapons under the category like greatswords, large blunts, and even some swords and daggers will scale well with Motivity.
On top of that, it is also tied to Defense against Physical and Elemental Damage.
Technique
Technique increases the overall Physical Attack and can be considered closely related to P’s Dexterity. Players who prefer playing fast and mobile would want to put points into this stat as most swords and daggers will scale well with Technique.
On top of that, it is also tied to Defense against Physical and Elemental Damage.
Advance
Advance focuses on P’s elemental capability as well as resistance against negative status effects. This stat is tied to most of the elemental Legion Arms as it also increases the Legion bar. Weapons that inflict elemental damage will scale well with Advance and improve their efficiency in proccing elemental effects on to enemies.
Leveling up stats in Lies of P
As you first start the game, you will be able to choose from three base builds:
- Path of the Cricket: Balance – Balanced offense and defense with quick slashing attacks.
- Path of the Bastard: Dexterity – Quick thrusts and jabs that provides mobility and evasion.
- Path of the Sweeper: Strength – Huge swings that deal devastating attacks that stagger enemies easily.
P will start at level 10 and each path has different stat distribution.
In the beginning section of the game, P can level up and put a point towards one of the six stats through the Stargazer, and eventually with Sophia. Each level up costs an amount of Ergo, and the higher P’s level is, the higher the amount of leveling up will be. The maximum level P can reach is at level 600, at which point all stats can be maxed out to 100 each.
The Respec feature will be available after defeating Champion Victor in Chapter 7. Players will be able to respec at the Saintess of Mercy Statue at the cost of Gold Coin Fruits.
