A big surprise at Gamescom 2023 revealed that Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment are now working on Little Nightmares 3.
It was revealed that the third entry of the Little Nightmares series is finally happening. The reveal trailer showed two new characters. This meant that players could play either single player or multiplayer. The announcement revealed that it will be released sometime in 2024.
The announcement also revealed a new podcast called The Sounds of Nightmares. No word yet on what it will entail, but this might be to hype up the upcoming entry and perhaps to recap the story from the previous two games.
The first game launched on previous-gen consoles and PC in 2017 and later on, a Switch version the next year. It followed the story of a little girl named Six who had to escape from the evil clutches of monsters in an iron vessel. Little Nightmares II was a prequel of the original and launched in February 2021 with an Enhanced Edition that was released later in August 2021 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
