Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Accessibility Features Revealed

ResetEra member Angie reported that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s PlayStation Store page just got updated and now it includes a questions and answers segment. It has its own section that featured mainly accessibility.

“Insomniac Games has devised a range of new and in-depth accessibility features to create a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 experience without barriers,” it reads. “Building on the accessibility improvements in previous titles, these features allow the game to be enjoyed by more players of different abilities.”

Slowing Down Gameplay

One of the biggest additions to the accessibility feature is the ability to slow down gameplay. Players can do this with just a touch of a button and can customize the speed of its slowing down from 70 percent to 30 percent. They can also switch it back to regular settings at any time.

Other Features

There are also other features like screen reader support, which allows a speaker to read aloud all on-screen text in menus and on-screen captions and audio descriptions for cinematic scenes. While that might be annoying for regular gamers, this is immensely helpful for players who have disabilities.

The full list of accessibility features will likely be announced prior to the official launch of the game on October 20, 2023. It will launch exclusively on PS5.
