Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Fall Damage Confirmed

Good thing it's just an optional feature that can be turned off and on.

A new report reveals that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has fall damage as Peter and Miles traverse New York City.

This new piece of information comes from YouTuber Blitzwinger who first noticed this. In previous titles, it was safe to swing around the buildings and fall on the ground. Peter Parker or Miles Morales would just flip back up and go back swinging if that happens. This new discovery though seems to give a new challenge for Spider-Man fans when travelling around New York City.

Thankfully, this fall damage feature is only an option and can be turned on and off at any time in the game’s menu. This is just a feature that will give fans another challenge on top of the basic game to make traversing through areas interesting and a bit realistic.

It seems Insomniac wants players to get immersed more and be challenged in the sequel. This is a great improvement from the previous titles due to the addition of another hurdle to overcome.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20, 2023 exclusively on PS5. It was also recently announced that the game has gone gold.
