Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 File Size Leaked Early

Prepare your SSDs!

A new report has potentially leaked the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 file size ahead of the announcement.

There are new reports that the limited edition Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 console is being shipped out to content creators and those who pre-ordered it already. A Twitter user has revealed some interesting detail about the upcoming game, specifically its file size when installed on the console.

According to @SpiderManCD, the retail box of the PS5 limited edition has a description of the game that says it will have a minimum of 98GB of free space needed to download and play. It is interesting to know that the sequel has now doubled in size compared to the original version and in its remastered version, which only needed 53.84GB. Miles Morales only needed lesser than the original, which was 39.21GB. It would make sense since Miles’ story was not that long compared to Peter Parker’s.

So for excited fans who want to play the game this coming October 20, 2023, they might want to clear up their SSDs or install a new one in the expansion slot to prepare for this big game. The size leaked in the report might be real since the game has two protagonists, which means the campaign will take longer than previous games and the visuals will be higher. Those will take up a lot of space.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is exclusive to the PS5 only.
