Monster Hunter Wilds Introduces Players to Game’s New Mechanics

Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to be one of the biggest Capcom games to be released. Recently, 2 new overview trailers were uploaded to the official YouTube channel featuring new and improved mechanics and features that players will love.

Monster Hunter Wilds Basic Mechanics Overview

In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are 2 states that Hunters have: sheathed and drawn. When your weapon is sheathed, you can move freely faster and use various items in your inventory.

When your weapon is drawn, movement is limited but your weapon can be used to attack.

Another thing to note in MH Wilds is that you will be provided with a means of travel by riding a Seikret. This creature can be mounted and can guide you automatically to the target monster for your current quest. While riding this majestic creature, you can recover your health, sharpen your weapons, gather materials throughout the wildlands, and also have a chance to switch between a primary and secondary weapon.

Every hunter has a standard equipment known as the Slinger. It allows you to fire various types of ammo that you can gather in the fields and help in distracting or luring enemies into traps. Use the Hook Slinger to gather items from a distance or to interact with the environment. Use this also while riding your Seikret.

Monster Hunter Wilds Focus Mode Overview

Focus Mode adds a new layer to the hunt in MH Wilds. Aim attacks or guards, and hit wounds that are highlighted in this mode for extra damage. Use Focus Strikes to unleash special attacks for big damage to wounds & weak points.

Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to launch in 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). For more info about the game, check out their main website.
