Mortal Kombat 1 Reportedly Getting Two New DLC Guest Characters

These two characters come from very popular live-action TV series!

Two DLC guest characters based on popular TV shows are reportedly coming to the unannounced full reboot game, Mortal Kombat 1.

According to Windows Central, two DLC guest characters will be as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 character pass. It was revealed that these characters are Peacemaker and Homelander. These characters come from two popular TV series called Peacemaker and The Boys respectively.

Peacemaker is a DC anti-hero that was first featured in James Gunn’s 2021 Suicide Squad movie, which then got his own spin-off TV series titled Peacemaker. Famous wrestler and actor John Cena takes on the role of this character.

Homelander is a character from the popular comic book series The Boys which also got its own live-action series. He is a different take on the popular DC hero Superman who becomes super famous, manipulative, uncontrollable, and unhinged. He is a “what if” version of the boy scout hero. In the live-action series, Homelander is played by Antony Starr.

No official word yet to confirm this yet since Ed Boon is just dropping some teases on his personal Twitter account at this point. One of his posts strongly hints that the next Mortal Kombat game will be a complete reboot.
