My Friendly Neighborhood is the newest survival horror game that follows the story of a handyman named Gordon who was sent to disable the antenna of a shut-down studio after it mysteriously started broadcasting again. After enduring the puppets’ shenanigans, Gordon finally makes it closer to the antenna, but he will soon later find out that the studio is hiding another dark secret.

After using the Jam Solvent on the elevator door at the Hotel Lobby, ride the elevator up to reach the next floor. Check the table nearby to find the Note – Reflection, Part One. Then, go through the door with the colorful squiggles.
Explore the Cardboard Hotel Lobby
You will then arrive at the Cardboard Hotel Lobby. There is not much to do here other than get the potion in the far right corner and then going through the next door.
The next area is a room with a puppet named Arnold who is playing the piano in the dark. There is also a podium nearby that has a puzzle set that is missing four pieces. You will then have to find all of the missing pieces if you plan to help out Arnold and use the elevator that is under the piano.
Go through the door on the left to reach a safe room. Inside is a locked chest that needs a key. The other door is also locked, so head back out for now and check the other doors in the previous room.
Search for the Purple Pentagon Key
There are four lit doors up the stairs; from right to left: red, purple, blue, and green.
The Red Door leads to a Study Room where you can find the Purple Pentagon Key which can open the chest back in the safe room as well as other doors in the floor. However, picking up this key will lock the door out and prevent you from getting out. So for now, leave the key in the pedestal and you will need to find a way to get a duplicate for it.
One more thing to check in the room is the book by the couch. This book shows five drawings numbered from 1 to 5. Take note of the order of the drawings as you will need this later on.
Create the Duplicate key
The Purple Door leads to the Kitchen. There is some cooking instructions up the wall that shows how to prepare the ingredients that will create a copy of the Purple Pentagon Key. You can grab the base ingredients and use the utensils and appliances to turn them into the next set of ingredients for the key.
Here are the instructions:
- Place the Milk inside the Oven to turn it into Cheese.
- Put the Cheese on the table and use the Knife to turn it into a Banana.
- Put the Tomato on the table and use the Knife to turn it into Ketchup.
- Place the Ketchup inside the Oven to turn it into Sauce.
- Put the Canned Food on the Stove and then look away from it for 20 seconds to turn it into a Pot of Food.
- Put the Banana, Sauce, and Pot of Food inside the Fridge for 5 seconds
If you have followed the instructions correctly, you will get the Cardboard Key. You can then head back through the Red Door and pick up the Purple Pentagon Key and place the Cardboard Key on the slot.
Get the Puzzle Piece #1
Head back to the safe room and use the key to open the chest to get the Puzzle Piece #1.
Get the Puzzle Piece #2
Before checking the next room, check the Green Door to get to the Art Room. You will find another chest that contains Puzzle Piece #2 and tape.
Get the Puzzle Piece #3
Proceed to the Blue Door to arrive at the Bedroom. Interact with the Computer where you can look at different programs.
The program that you need to check is the one with the padlock. Click on Log In, then click on Cam A. You will see a feed of the shutter that you passed by at the Cardboard Hotel Lobby. Click on the shutter to open it up.
Go back to the lobby and you will see the opened section to your left. Check the bookshelf to find a book with a keyhole. Use the key on it to reveal a secret door behind the bookshelf.
Follow the passageway to the next door where you will arrive at the Pool Room. There are a few puppets in here to knock down, but there’s not much to do in here other than to get to the next door.
You will then arrive at the Gallery Hall with displays of art and underneath each piece are buttons that you can press. Recall the drawings from the book at the Red Door room and press the buttons under the paintings based from the order they appeared in the book. If done correctly, the final painting will reveal Puzzle Piece #3.
The order of the buttons goes like this:
- Green triangle, yellow circle, blue square
- Horse
- 3-column colorful rectangles
- Tic-tac-toe
- Fruits
The next area at the end of the hall leads to the Garden Room. You can find the Note – Box Office Report on the table nearby. Past the Garden Room is a small room that leads back to the safe room from earlier.
Get the Puzzle Piece #4
From this point, go back to the Blue Door room and interact with the computer again. This time, check Cam B, then head back to the lobby to find the other section open, revealing a drawer. Inside this drawer are some ammos and Puzzle Piece #4.
Help Arnold
Once you have all the puzzle pieces, head back to the main room and place all the pieces on the podium to complete the picture. This will illuminate the stage where Arnold is playing. Approach the stage to start a cutscene where Arnold will insist Gordon to play the piano. After doing so, Arnold will be appeased, allowing Gordon to pull the lever and raise the stage to the next level. You will also unlock the Music for Four Hands Achievement.
Note: Once you pull the lever for the stage, you won’t be able to visit the lower levels anymore unless you revisit a previous save file. This will prevent you from being able to get the true ending of the game, especially if you have yet to help the puppets in the previous areas.
Terminate the broadcast
Once you reach the Penthouse, head to the room to the left where you will find the control room for the broadcasting, as well as the Note – Cancellation Notice. Press the button on the panel to proceed, but you will then encounter an error saying that the broadcast could not be terminated.
Pull the lever for the roof access nearby, then head outside the door to reach the roof area. Look for the ladder holds on the side of the roof, then climb the ladder all the way to the top of the antenna. As you work on unplugging the antenna, you will be interrupted by Ricky for a short cutscene. Then, lighting strikes the antenna and Gordon falls down into the basement.
Exit the Twisted Stage
As you explore the area, you’ll see Junebug, but a scarier version of her. The telephone will ring at the booth. Answer the call and you will talk to Ricky again. After a short conversation, you will get a flashlight to use. Check the corkboard ahead to find the Note – Reflection, Part Two.
Ricky tells you that the elevator can only be used if you pull the security release, which is inside the other stage. Proceed to the next area where you will be chased down by the different versions of the puppets. Continue following the path until you reach a ramp, then jump down to the other side.
You will then be faced with the final boss of the game, which is an amalgamation of different puppets. This boss will continuously chase you down around the stage and jump at you once it gets close.
Your objective at this point is to pull on the Emergency Lockdown Release lever on the lit wall. This will lower the gate nearby, but it moves so slowly and it will take some time for you to be able to go through it. You have a choice to either face the boss and defeat it, or just run around until the gate is fully open; doing the second option will reward you with the Mercy Achievement for not defeating the boss once you get out of the building.
Head through the gate, then get to the elevator to get back up to the surface. You will find yourself inside presumably the former MFN boss’ room. Check the table to find the Note – Final Address, then check the floor near the exit door to find Cheat Tape #5. Exit the room to find yourself in one of the rooms in the hotel.
Stay or Leave
Finally, head out into the studio lot where you will be greeted by Ricky. He is grateful to find you alive and wants to ask you a favor. Depending on your choice in here and some of the choices that you’ve made within the game, you will be able to see different endings. Check out our My Friendly Neighborhood: All Endings guide to see all of the possible endings of the game.
After the ending scene, the credits will roll and you will then be presented with your game stats. Congratulations! You have survived My Friendly Neighborhood!
