2K has recently announced that NBA 2K24 release date and new details have been announced.
NBA 2K24 Has Three Editions
Yesterday, 2K officially revealed the cover athlete for NBA 2K24 and it was the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant. It was initially announced that there are two versions of the game which are the Kobe Bryant and Black Mamba Editions. Today, there are three editions now. The 25th Anniversary Edition is the third special edition which will be available on September 10, 2023 for $129.99. This will include a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass as well as the content from the Black Mamba edition.
The Kobe Bryant Edition is $59.99. This is also the standard edition of the game. The Black Mamba Edition has a price tag of $89.99. It will include 100K Virtual Currency and a large amount of MyTeam and MyCareer content.
Crossplay Between Two New-Gen Consoles
It was also confirmed that NBA 2K24 will have crossplay between PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Players can compete with or against players around the world in dynamic co-op matches, online tournaments, or casual pick-up games.
“As we celebrate 25 years of NBA 2K with Kobe Bryant, we commemorate his legacy and the generational impact he has had on the game of basketball,” said Greg Thomas, president of developer Visual Concepts.
“While we mark the history of the franchise, NBA 2K24 also looks ahead to the future to bring an innovative leap in technology and the introduction of community-requested features like cross-play.”
When Will NBA 2K24 Launch?
NBA 2K24 launches on September 8, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
