Nintendo allegedly demoed the Nintendo Switch 2 at Gamescom 2023 behind closed doors.
Last month in Cologne, Germany, Nintendo had a public Gamescom showfloor booth that allowed attendees to play Pikmin 4 and Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Behind the scenes, however, the game company had something to showcase to a select few people.
Developer presentations for Nintendo Switch 2 happened behind closed doors, sources of Eurogamer say. Those who were part of the audience saw tech demos of how well the system is designated to run. One of the demos shown was a much-improved version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It was designed to hit the Switch 2’s high specs. To clarify, this was only a demo for the Switch 2 and it was not suggested that the game will be re-released.
Nintendo has not revealed any plans to announce the successor of the Nintendo Switch, though it is greatly rumored that this new console will be released sometime next year. There are other rumors claiming that it is now being shown to external developers. Nintendo might be preparing to make a big reveal soon.
