Blizzard has recently revealed the new Overwatch 2 support hero called Illari.
Overwatch 2 Introduces Illari
Just recently, a new Overwatch 2 trailer was released and it finally revealed the new support hero, the sun-kissed warrior called Illari. It was reported that she will be added to the game on August 10, 2023 with Season 6 Invasion, which gets released later.
Illari Release Date
Illari will be the 38th hero added to the game and will have the power of the sun due to a ‘solar threading ritual’ that she has been involved in. Her weapon is part sword and part rail gun, which is powered by the sun’s energy. She wears an armor with a cape and overall looks similar to the all-powerful Sojourn.
Abilities
The sun warrior will have a healing turret, a movement-based ability called Power Jump to make her propel up into the air, and the ultimate called Captive Sun. It lets Illari power up with the sun’s energy in her weapon and launch an explosive ball of energy at her enemies.
Overwatch 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
