Payday 3 Server Issues at Launch Now Fixed Says Starbreeze

Game also has hit a big milestone.

Starbreeze confirms that the Payday 3 server issues at launch are now fixed.

Payday 3 Server Issues at Launch Finally Fixed

Payday 3 is getting a lot of negative reviews and criticism on Steam lately, mostly due to the game’s launch day, which was a disaster. The developer, Starbreeze, blamed all of these issues on the game’s third-party matchmaking software. The developers say that the server has “encountered an unforeseen error, which made it unable to handle the massive influx of players.”

Today, in a new update on Starbreeze’s official website, the studio has announced that it has completed its maintenance and “has fixed the initial matchmaking issues” that happened during launch day. “Matchmaking has been stable and has had good performance after the completed maintenance,” the post said.

Starbreeze CEO Tobias Sjögren said in a statement: “First and foremost, I would like to thank our players for the patience they have shown us. Our community is the engine that drives both our games and our company forward.

“I don’t really need to repeat that this was not the start we wanted, but at the same time, our business model is a marathon and not a sprint and we will tirelessly continue to build Payday 3 bigger and better to deliver the greatest possible value for our players.”

Plans Later This Year

Starbreeze will be intensifying the commercial activities around Payday 3 after partially pausing them during the previous week. There are also plans for the first update early this month, which will include “200+ quality-of-life improvements for all platforms”.
