Frontier Developments has officially revealed Planet Coaster 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed 2016 game, Planet Coaster. Building on its genre-defining predecessor, Planet Coaster 2 promises to be the ultimate coaster park experience, featuring all-new water park gameplay.

Players can create their dream water park paradise with a wide array of vibrant attractions such as lazy rivers, thrilling flumes, expansive wave pools, and exhilarating water coasters. The game also includes realistic details such as changing rooms, sunbeds, and lifeguards to create an authentic water park experience.

Planet Coaster 2 also offers enhanced building tools and mesmerizing new themes, allowing players to push the boundaries of creativity like never before. With a vast selection of rides, including returning favorites and brand-new water coasters, players can customize their rides for a truly unique experience. The enhanced event sequencer tool enables players to create unforgettable memories for their guests by combining animatronics, smoke, water jets, and sound in dazzling displays.

The game features three exciting modes: Career mode, where players tackle various scenarios; Franchise mode, where players build a global park network; and Sandbox mode, where players can freely design epic parks. Players will have to manage all aspects of their park, from protecting guests from the sun to ensuring rides are running safely.

Planet Coaster 2 also introduces social features, allowing players to visit each other’s parks, compete on the Franchise mode leaderboard, and even collaborate on building shared Sandbox levels across platforms. Players can also share and download blueprints and full parks via the Frontier Workshop.

Planet Coaster 2 is set to launch in Autumn 2024 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
