Sony Interactive Entertainment States PS5 Demand is High via Pre-Order

Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan recently shared some new information in an exclusive interview with Reuters about the demand of the PlayStation 5.

According to Ryan, the game company has pre-sold as many PS5 consoles in the first 12 hours in the US compared to its predecessor PS4 that did the same numbers but in the first 12 weeks.

“The demand as expressed by the level of pre-order has been has been very, very considerable,” Ryan told Reuters.

Ryan also warned that buyers who did not pre-order a PS5 unit ahead might have problems getting one during launch day. He did say that the game company is working hard that everyone can get their units before the year-end shopping season.

This could be true with the North American territories as well as other Western countries. Only a few countries from the East have the opportunity to gain a lot of PS5 unit supplies according to recent reports like Japan, Singapore, and others. The Philippines might not get any units during launch day, but there are also some rumors that the local retail stores might get large supply soon.

PlayStation 5 is coming November 12 on North America, Japan, and a few countries. The rest of the world will get it on November 19.
