A new report revealed that Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Mobile Head has left.

Who is Nicola Sebastiani?

Nicola Sebastiani was a high-profile appointment when he joined in 2021. He previously led Apple’s business management team before becoming Apple Arcade’s head of content. This was eight years in the Apple company. He then went to PlayStation to build the mobile team. He was also a key figure in Sony’s acquisition of Savage Game Studios.

Sebastiani Leaves

In a report by MobileGamer.biz, Sebastiani leaves the company after less than a year since the deal was announced. No word yet on his reasons for leaving the company or if he is directly joined to another company.

New Co-Heads

In a new update to their LinkedIn Profiles, Kris Davies and Olivier Courtemanmche have been promoted to co-heads of mobile at PlayStation Studios. They have now replaced Sebastiani. Davis joined the company as senior director and head of mobile business development way back in April 2022. He has worked previously at Kabam, Beeline Interactive, and CAPCOM.

Courtemanch on the other hand was appointed senior director and head of mobile product at PlayStation Studios in April 2022.

SIE CEO Jim Ryan stated during a business briefing last year that half of its annual releases will be on PC and mobile by 2025. PlayStation Studios Chief Hermen Hulst revealed that the mobile’s role within PlayStation is an additive to its core console business.
