Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake Switches Studios

Time for the original to step back and let the guys who originally made the first trilogy to take over.

Ubisoft has announced that the upcoming Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake now has a new studio that will handle its development.

For those who are wondering if it will be taken over by another company, that is not the case. It will still be by Ubisoft, but it will be another team. Originally, it was handled by Ubisoft Mumbai and Pune, but after the most recent trailer showcased its gameplay, many fans frowned on it and that has possibly made the team rework it again. There is no confirmation that the game has been in development hell, but with so many delays, many people could speculate that was the case.

Now, Ubisoft has decided to put Ubisoft Montréal on the helm of the development instead of Mumbai and Pune. After all, this team was the one who started it all, the epic Sands of Time trilogy. According to the recent post on the Twitter account, Montréal will now take the time they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver the best experience for the remake. And when it is ready, they will make an announcement.

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake no longer has a definite release window.
