IO Interactive Predicts James Bond Video Game Project 007 the Beginning of a Trilogy

Game company IO Interactive recently talked with a media outlet in an interview about the upcoming video game Project 007 about the iconic James Bond franchise.

Studio Director Hakan Abrak spoke with Danish media outlet DR.dk in an exclusive interview that the upcoming title has a completely original story. He even revealed that this could easily start a trilogy. He also shared that their game will have its own James Bond creation instead of making a digital likeness of previous actors.

Abrak shared how they managed to convince the people behind the Bond IP, which were Barbara Brocolli and her stepbrother Michael G. Wilson, to let them develop a game based on the franchise. They were actually preparing to meet with the keyholders and did that for two years. The director told them that the previous Bond games were not worthy enough because they were only about violence and did not embody what James Bond was all about.

It seems IO Interactive’s depiction of the British spy will be quite different, which could be the reason why the keyholders were really convinced.

No specific details yet on the upcoming title Project 007.
