Prepare to feel every hit you make in Silent Hill 2 if you’re planning to play it on the PS5. PlayStation’s official Youtube channel just released a trailer that shows the extra features to give you more immersion as you play the game with your DualSense wireless controller. Check it out!
Here’s a rundown of what the Silent Hill 2 PS5 Immersion trailer promises you:
- Explore Silent Hill in Stunning 4K: Silent Hill 2 can be explored in 4K (4K display required). See every disturbing and creepy detail of the town in the best resolution possible. Though this will most likely be in Graphics mode. The game does seem to have a Performance mode that targets 60 FPS if that’s your preference.
- Feel Every Verbal Attack: Using the Haptic Feedback of the DualSense, you’ll be able to feel every hit that James dishes out against the horrors of the town.
- Experience Every Threatening Moment: The DualSense’s signature Adaptive Triggers are in full effect here when using firearms.
- Immerse Yourself in a Psychological Horror: Silent Hill 2 on PS5 offers 3D audio using your TV’s built-in speakers or headphones. Though you will need to update the software.
- Enhance Your Gameplay Experience: The Dynamic Lightbar of your DualSense will reflect James’ health.
The PS5 is making the most out of Silent Hill 2. It’s nice to see the developers going the mile in order to include as much immersive features in order to immerse us into the titular cursed town.
Silent Hill 2 will release this October 8th on the PS5 for one year exclusivity. It will release on other consoles on 2025.
