It was revealed that Nixxes Software will be the studio handling the PC port for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in collaboration with Insomniac Games. The studio has helped Insomniac Games on various occasions like in both Marvel’s Spider-Man games for PC. It has also partnered up with Crystal Dynamics in the past for various projects like Marvel’s Avengers and its popular Tomb Raider series.
The Ratchet & Clank franchise has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and bringing this title to PC is a good way to celebrate it. For players new to the franchise, this is the best entry to start with as it offers beautiful visuals and great gameplay. It also introduces two new characters: Rivet and Kit.
Visual Innovations and Ultra-Wide Monitor Support
According to the latest post on PlayStation Blog, the PC version will have ray-traced reflections with a variety of quality levels to choose from and newly added ray-traced shadows for natural light in outdoor areas. This will enable realistic shadows with natural gradients in softness.
The PC version will also offer ultra-wide monitor support. The resolutions supported include 21:9, 32:9, and up to 48:0 resolutions for triple monitor setups. Both gameplay and cutscenes are optimized for ultra-wide screens.
Unlocked Framerates, Full Mouse, Keyboard and Controller Support
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart supports unlocked framerates and includes the best and newest performance-enhancing upscaling technologies. PC players can enjoy features like Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Insomniac Games’ Temporal Injection. Nvidia Reflex and image quality enhancing Nvidia DLAA are also supported.
The PC edition supports full mouse and keyboard support with customizable controls. Players who have controllers can also use them and when a DualSense controller is connected via USB cable, it will support haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC edition launches on July 26, 2023 on Steam and Epic Games Store. Pre-purchase now to get in-game items early like the Pixelizer Weapon and Carbonox Armor set.
The PC edition will include five armors of the Digital Deluxe Edition and the 20th Anniversary Armor Pack with another five armors inspired by previous games in the series.
