Redfall to Launch on Xbox Consoles with Only One Mode

The other display mode will be released at a later time.

Arkane Studios has recently revealed in a new post that Redfall will launch on Xbox consoles with only one mode.

Redfall is the upcoming open-world shooter from Arkane Studios and will involve a group of survivors taking on the deadly vampires that have taken over a town. While it looks promising in both visuals and gameplay, some recent gameplay clips have been reacted to quite poorly by fans. It will also be released a few days after Star Wars Jedi Survivor and ten days before Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, which might get this game overshadowed by these titles that many have been anticipating for so long. Unfortunately, this new update from Arkane Studios might make it worse for the game’s release.

The developers recently posted on the official Twitter account of Redfall that the game will launch on Xbox consoles with one mode only: Quality Mode. This means on Xbox Series X the game will run in 4K with 30 fps while on Xbox Series S it will run in 1440p with 30 fps. The 60 FPS Performance mode will be added with an upcoming game update that will be at a later date.

Does this mean the game will be released in an incomplete state? Since it will be fully playable with all of its basic features, it is a full game. The only one missing is its other option for focusing on performance instead of quality, which is unfortunate.

Redfall launches on May 2, 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X/S. It will be available on day one on Game Pass.
