Resident Evil 4 Remake Parasites Inside Los Ganados Better Than Original Game

The Resident Evil 4 Remake parasites have already evolved in this iteration compared to the ones from the original.

The Las Plagas, the parasites that have burrowed inside the bodies of the Los Ganados, have now improved quite well compared to the ones that everyone met a few years ago. According to Resident Evil veteran Yoshiaki Hirabayashi in an interview (Play UK issue 25), the Los Ganados are quite dangerous unless players could thoroughly kill them or else they will face the wrath of a newly mutated monster of Los Ganados.

It was revealed that the Las Plagas have a way they utilize the hosts’ human intelligence in particular. When they see these infected, players will feel quite different as characters are huge in this game. In truth, they look quite unsettling just looking into them.

“Just as with the original game, the traces of humanity left in them and the resultant behavior is what sets Los Ganados apart from the zombies of previous titles,” says Hirabayashi. “The source of their scariness is in the contrast of how they still seem somewhat human and yet will do incomprehensible things, and this contrast is reflected throughout the game. They don’t just attack you mindlessly, but sometimes will work together in pairs or groups, calling others of their kind to them and taking you on.”

The Los Ganados are dangerous due to their intelligence of grouping together to take down Leon. They can point and shout at him to alert the others of his presence in the vicinity and surround him easily. This will make it harder for him to get out of a situation and could cause his early demise.

The original game had this mechanic already, but the remake just upped it to a higher level.
