The Caped Crusader is returning to the world of bricks. Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and The LEGO Group have officially announced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a brand-new action-adventure game set to release in 2026.

Developed by TT Games, the acclaimed studio behind LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the new title is described as the definitive LEGO Batman story. The game will take players on an epic journey through the hero’s 86-year history, drawing inspiration from iconic moments across Batman’s legacy in film, television, comics, and games, all infused with the developer’s signature humor.

The story-led campaign begins with a young Bruce Wayne training with The League of Shadows and follows his evolution into the legendary hero of Gotham City. Along the way, players will build a “Batfam” of allies, including Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, to take on a massive Rogues Gallery featuring The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more.

TT Games is introducing a dynamic new combat system designed to capture Batman’s unique fighting style, featuring fluid attack chains, counters, and over-the-top takedowns. The game will support two-player local co-op and will feature iconic gadgets like the Batarang and Batclaw, alongside partner-specific gear. For players seeking a greater challenge, the game will also include new enhanced difficulty settings.

The adventure is set in an open-world LEGO Gotham City, where players can grapple, glide, and drive a range of Batmobiles and Batcycles to stop crimes, solve puzzles, and discover secrets. The Batcave will also be a customizable hub for displaying vehicles, trophies, and a variety of Batsuits from across Batman’s history.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is scheduled to launch in 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
