Publisher Bethesda has revealed the price for Skyrim Anniversary and answered other FAQs in the process

Publisher Bethesda recently answered some frequently asked questions pertaining to Skyrim Anniversary Edition price and more. The FAQ itself answered questions regarding the exact contents that will included in the game, it’s price upon release date, and even if achievements will carry over.

Releasing on November 10th, 2021, Skyrim Anniversary Edition celebrates 10 years after the release of the original The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Roughly around 500 pieces of Creation Club content will also be part of the game along with the base game and all three major expansions.

According to Bethesda, Anniversary Edition is the most comprehensive edition of the game released yet. Which is impressive consideration that Bethesda has technically released Skyrim fifteen times on ten different systems to date.

Achievements/ Trophies Carry Over:

Achievements and trophies earned while playing Skyrim Special Edition will carry over to the Anniversary Edition, WITH THE EXCEPTION of upgrading the PS4 version of the game to the PS5 version. So far, publisher Bethesda has yet to clarify the reason why it is not possible to transfer trophy data between both consoles.

The Skyrim Anniversary Edition ups the amount of content in Skyrim Special Edition with every piece of Creation Club content released up to the point of Anniversary Edition’s release, which includes more quests, armor, and gameplay modes. The most significant of those are the Saints & Seducers creation club content, survival mode, and fishing. Yes, fishing.

Saints & Seducers, Survival Mode, and Fishing

Originally released in 2019, Saints & Seducers introduces an additional storyline across two quests. With additional armor sets, weapons, enemies, and more, Saints & Seducers features some of the largest amounts of content put into a single creation.

Released back in 2017, the Survival Mode has the hallmarks of what one would expect from a Survival Mode. Players must wear warm gear and seek shelter in cold climate to prevent freezing to death. They will have to contend with hunger and exhaustion on top of the usual threats like dragons and raiders.

Skyrim’s new fishing system will allow players to catch over 20 unique aquatic species across the area’s many bodies of water. They are also able to cook their catch, display them as trophies in their den, or even keep them inside their home aquarium.

“I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this round of creations,” says Daniel Lee, Senior Artist and Creation Club development lead at Bethesda Games Studios. “I’ve wanted fishing in Skyrim ever since the beginning and now it is finally here. We’ve worked hard on this program and it has been a true labor of love; there are more than a few surprises tucked away and I can’t wait for everyone to find them.”

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is set to release November 11th, 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox series X|S, and PC.
